  • Compensation - Pay is very competitive and commensurate with experience

Summary - Leading pay available for the right candidate. The applicant must have a strong inspection background in system turnovers, package completion, in-process inspection of new piping, civil and structural inspection.

Minimum requirements: API 510/CWI applicant must have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in the inspection field. Technically competent and knowledgeable in the application of the current inspection codes; proficiency in technical report writing and the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.  Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide inspection support on new equipment associated with projects.
  • Assume the role of project inspector during turnarounds.
  • Attend pre-inspection meetings at vendor fabrication facilities.
  • Oversee the inspection activities at vendor’s facilities and onsite for critical equipment.
  • Develop inspection and test plans for equipment based on criticality.
  • Review data packages assure client specifications, correct materials, compliance and testing are met on fixed equipment, piping, valves, etc.
  • Review fabrication isometric drawings to be issued for construction.
  • Spec out piping components to be replaced during turnarounds and future projects.
  • Assist in development of repair plans for fixed equipment.
  • Assist in development of quality assurance plans for turnarounds and projects.
  • Review and approve contractor quality control plans.
  • Review welding procedures for onsite contractors and offsite fabricators.
  • Review completed test packages and perform field walk downs on test packages for acceptance.    
  • Has an overall responsibility for reviewing inspection plans and client inspection procedures.
  • Interfacing with client planning, mechanical and inspection departments to assure schedule and goals are met in a timely manner for turnaround.
  • Interface with client(s) on technical matters involving inspection activities
  • Provide a professional appearance when interfacing with clients and other coworkers.

Proficiency in technical report writing, the use of MS Word, the inclusion and editing of digital photographs for use in repair recommendations and reporting is required.

Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills with a positive team-oriented attitude is required.
