Onsite Inspection Supervisor

Pay Rate/Compensation: $62 with preferred certifications, Fulltime Benefited Position

Summary

Preferably applicants should have at least 5 to 10 years’ experience in run and maintain and past supervision
experience in a nested onsite roll, turnarounds or projects. The position will be responsible for managing multiple contract API and NDE crews. Proficient in quality management systems, processes, standards, inspection and test plans, non-conformance reporting, execution of key milestones (KPI’s), work schedules and quality issues.

Minimum requirements

Applicant must be technically competent and knowledgeable in the application of the current inspection codes. API and NDE certifications are not required but considered a plus. Self-motivated with good written and verbal
communication skills. Must be able to communicate with owner/user supervision and co-workers in a professional manner, and actively promote safety procedures and awareness. Must possess the ability to make reliability focused and cost effective recommendations for “Suitability for Continued Service” recommendations to the client.

Responsibilities

​

  • Attend weekly teams meetings with Sentinel Upper Management to report KPI’s and discuss any site needs.

  • Attend inspection update meetings and monthly contractor safety meetings.

  • Mentor and steward our nested employees and short-term projects to ensure we meet or exceed client and Sentinel expectations.

  • Assure all our nested employees comply with client site safety requirements, Sentinel safety standards and expectations.

  • Proficient in project management duties including but not limited to, interfacing with site supervision, unit inspectors and engineering.

  • Perform routine safety audits/observations on nested employees and document findings.

  • Perform quarterly and/or annual safety inspections on all nested employees fall protection and personal PPE.

  • Oversee NDE equipment inventory & maintenance program to assure equipment is operating properly and employees are performing regular maintenance.

  • Oversee company vehicle inventory & maintenance program to assure employees are performing regular maintenance, are in good operating condition and kept presentable.

  • Assure all NDE being performed by nested employees is in accordance with client & Sentinel procedure and guidelines.

  • Point of contact for Sentinel remote timekeeper and assist with timekeeping support if/when issues arise.

  • Assist with coordinating logistics with divisional management for any additional conventional and advanced NDE resources on special emphasis projects, turnarounds and projects requested by the client.

  • Coordination of inspection personnel, execution of key milestones, work schedules and quality issues.

  • Communicate with the Maintenance, Reliability, Projects and Operations Teams on inspection and repair-related findings.

  • Overall responsible for the day to day inspection activities and compliance of the responsibilities set forth by the client control procedures. Hold inspection personnel accountable for deliverables.

  • General task will also include reviewing JSA’s, generating/replying to emails, assisting unit inspectors with interpreting field data, coordinating training, interfacing/meeting with clients, and assisting with onboarding of new personnel.

  • Use knowledge of best work practices and procedures to develop project execution strategy and identify task constraints.

  • Assess manpower requirements and determine estimated durations for the work activities.

  • Quality assurance of field data prior to final report submittal to client.

  • Perform field inspections and shutdown activities.

  • Evaluate NDE inspection results ensuring data is acceptable and adequate coverage is obtained and incorporates relevant findings into the inspection management software.

  • Provide a professional appearance when interfacing with clients and other coworkers.
